NATURE'S ANSWER TO ARTHRITIS PAIN
A REVOLUTIONARY NEW CREAM, GS CREAM CAN BRING INSTANT RELIEF. IT IS A UNIQUE FORMULATION THAT COMBINES THE NATURAL, YET POWERFUL PAIN RELIEF OF PREGNENOLONE, GINGER EXTRACT, EMU OIL, GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE AND MSM. ADDITIONALLY, GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE PROVIDES CARTILAGE AND JOINT BUILDING BENEFITS. AND, UNLIKE OTHER TOPICAL CREAMS THAT HAVE DISTINCTIVE AND OFTEN UNPLEASANT SMELLS, GS CREAM IS ODORLESS, WITH NO COLOR ADDED.

It is accepted as a superior long-term strategy by the World Health Organization and officially classified as a remedy in osteoarthritis. In addition, Glucosamine Sulfate is free of known contraindications. Research indicates that any known side effects that may be experienced as a result of Glucosamine Sulfate relate to its use in capsule form - not the application of a cream which is absorbed through the skin. For example, ingestion of Glucosamine Sulfate has been shown in clinical studies to cause gastric problems in 7-15% of patients. Furthermore, prescription drugs used in the treatment of arthritis can produce even more dramatic side effects. Typically used medications for osteoarthritis, including aspirin, ibuprofen and diclofenac are effective at alleviating acute pain but do nothing to stimulate the body's healing pathways. In fact, they may actually interfere with the body's repair process. They can also pose chronic health complications such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers and kidney and liver toxicity if used for extended periods of time. Also, Methotrexate, which is typically used for rheumatoid arthritis, is even more toxic and has been linked with increased cancer risk.

Millions of Americans are affected by arthritis, or "fire in the joints". Although more than 100 different forms of the disease have been identified in the field of rheumatology, two types are most prevalent and are of greatest concern: osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Osteoarthritis, which tends to damage larger weight-bearing joints, is far more prevalent than rheumatoid arthritis, which is a condition that attacks and inflames the body's smaller joints such as the fingers, wrists and toes. Osteoarthritis is America?s number one crippler affecting an estimated 40 million people, including 80% of people over the age of 50. Under the age of 45, osteoarthritis is more common in men; after age 45; it is 10 times more common in women. By contrast, the National Rheumatism Foundation estimates only about 8 to10 million Americans have rheumatoid arthritis, the majority of which are women aged 36-50.

THE POWER OF NATURAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES
PREGNENOLONE (Preg) is a natural hormone make primarily in the adrenal glands. It is also a derivative of cholesterol. Cholesterol is derived from the foods we eat, such as meats, eggs, poultry, butter and dairy products. Cholesterol is also produced by the body, especially the liver. Therefore, Preg is considered to be a food derivative and is available without a prescription. As mandated by The Dietary Supplement Law of 1994, Preg is marketed as an over-the-counter nutrient. The benefits of Preg for sufferers of both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis date back to the 1950s. In 1950, Dr. Harry Freeman and his colleagues from the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, conducted a study of 62 patients (17 men and 45 women) suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. The average age of the patients was 48 years and most had suffered with the disease for 10 years. Each patient was given 500 mg of Preg daily for a period of 2-30 weeks, 24 patients experienced striking improvement, 20 showed minor improvement, and 14 showed no improvement. There was a tendency to relapse when the medication was discontinued. (Freeman H, Pincus G, et al. Oral Steroid Medication in Rheumatoid arthritis. J Clin End 10:1523-32, 1950.)

GINGER, is a natural herb that possesses many therapeutic properties. The most relevant to arthritis sufferers, particularly those with rheumatoid arthritis, is its ability to inhibit inflammation and bring immediate relied from pain. To scientifically test the benefits of Ginger, a clinical study was conducted on seven patients with rheumatoid arthritis. These patients had not been helped by conventional drugs. All patients were treated with Ginger. One patient received 50 grams of lightly cooked Ginger per day, while the remaining 6 took either 5 grams of fresh of 0.1 to 1 gram of powered Ginger daily. Despite the difference in dosage, all patients reported substantial improvement, including pain relief, increase in joint mobility, and decrease in swelling and morning stiffness. In a follow-up to this preliminary study, 56 patients were evaluated. Their profile consisted of 28 patients with rheumatoid arthritis, 18 with osteoarthritis, and 10 with muscular discomfort who had been taking powdered ginger for periods ranging from 3 months to 2.5 years. Based on clinical observations by physicals, it was reported that 75% of the arthritis patients and 100% of the patients with muscular discomfort experienced relief of pain or swelling.

EMU OIL, used by the Aboriginal people of Australia for the treatment of muscle and joint pain, contain a variety of fatty acids. Modern research into the properties of Emu Oil had found that the oil is the greatest skin emollient in the world with deep skin penetration properties better that any other natural oil. During the past decade of clinical use, the benefit of Emu Oil on joints to reduce pain, swelling and stiffness is most evident where the joint is close to the skin surface, such as the hands, feet, knees, elbows and back. In addition, preliminary research studies indicate that patients with rheumatoid arthritis have cited tremendous results from massaging effected areas 2 to 3 times daily and before bed. Dr. Thom Leahey of the Arthritis Clinic in Ardmore, Oklahoma, regularly uses Emu Oil on this arthritis patients. He states in the October 1995 issue of Emu Today and Tomorrow the "in a clinical pilot survey among my own patients, the response has been very positive as to its emollient and pain-relieving properties."

MSM
or MethylSulfonyl Methane is a natural form of organic sulfur found in all living organisms. MSM is supplied to the human body, through a variety of fresh foods including fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, fish and milk. MSM is the flexible bond between proteins that keeps new cells from becoming rigid and helps tissues retain their flexibility. Because there are few nerves in the bones, our pain comes from the soft tissues. Aspirin shuts of the nerves, but the tissues are still damaged. MSM relieves the inflammation, helps the tissues to heal and prevents soreness.
MSM is a free radical scavenger, so allergies to foods and pollens will go away. Any excess MSM in your system will stay in the blood stream for 12 hours and remove toxins, clean the interior walls of arteries and provided the body with health-giving benefits without any nuisance side effects.
Clinical research confirms that MSM is capable of reducing or eliminating leg and back cramps, general soreness and muscle spasms.

GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE
GLUCOSAMINE IS A NATURALLY OCCURING SUBSTANCE NORMALLY FORMED FROM GLUCOSE AND FOUND IN HIGH CONCENTRATIONS IN JOINT STRUCTURES. AS PEOPLE AGE, THEY LOSE SOME OF THE GLUCOSAMINE AND OTHER SUBSTANCES IN CARTILAGE AND THE ONSET AND PROGRESSION OF ARTHRITIS.

GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE, the preferred form of Glucosamine, provides the raw materials used by the body to make cartilage and connective tissue that, in turn help to provide cushioning and lubrication for each of the body's joints. Glucosamine Sulfate had been the subject of more that 300 scientific investigations and supported by over 20 double-blind, placebo- controlled studies both long and short term. These studies have come to the conclusion that Glucosamine Sulfate works at both relieving pain and stimulating healing. Glucosamine Sulfate reduces pain more effectively than ibuprofen. This was the result of a double blind study, which was carried out over an eight-week period with 40 outpatients who had been diagnosed with unilateral osteoarthritis of the knee. The study compared the efficacy of Glucosamine Sulfate with ibuprofen. Although the rate of decrease was slower in patients on Glucosamine Sulfate, the reduction in pain levels continued throughout the trial period, and the difference between the two groups was significantly in favor of the Glucosamine Sulfte at week eight. (Val AL "Double blind clinical evaluation of the relative efficacy of ibuprofen and Glucosamine Sulfate in the management of osterarthritis of the knee in out-patients." Current Medical Research and Opinion 8:145-149; 1982). Glucosamine Sulfate reduces pain and joint tenderness and improves movement. In a double blind trial using Glucosamine Sulfate and a placebo in 20 outpatients with established osteoarthritis, articular pain, joint tenderness and restricted movement were evaluated. Patients given Glucosamine Sulfate experienced lessening, or a disappearance of symptoms during the trial period. No adverse reactions were reported by the patients taking Glucosamine Sulfate. (Pujalte, JM et.al. "Double blind clinical evaluation of oral Glucosamine Sulfate in the basic treatment of osteoarthritis" Current Medical Research and Opinion 7(2):114,1980). Glucosamine Sulfate was well tolerated and beneficial in 95% of patients studied. An open study was carried out by 252 doctors throughout Portugal to assess the effectiveness and tolerability of Glucosamine Sulfate in the treatment of arthritis. The results from 1,208 patients showed that the symptoms of pain at rest, while standing, while exercising and with limited active and passive movements improved steadily throughout the treatment period. Ninety-five percent of the patients studied benefited from taking Glucosamine Sulfate. (Tapadinhas MJ, etal. "Oral Glucosamine Sulfate in the management of arthritis: Report on a multi-centre open investigation in Portugal." Pharmatherapeutica 3;157-168, 198).

STOP JOINT PAIN BEFORE IT STARTS
Unlike aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that simply mask the pain of arthritis, the natural ingredients in GS Cream provide safe, immediate relief of pain with NO SIDE EFFECTS. This remarkable formulation goes to work where the problem starts and offers long-term benefits. Inside the joints, Glucosamine Sulfate actually nourished the parts of the joint to aid the healing process, increase mobility and regenerate damaged cartilage, while the other active ingredients -Pregnenolone, Ginger Extract and Emu Oil - ease the pain and inflammation. In a study from The Annals of Internal Medicine from 1991, it was reported that the risk of peptic ulceration increased anywhere from 400% up to 800% with the use of NSAIDs. In 1994, The New England Journal of Medicine reported that people who take NSAIDs over the course of their lifetime increased their possibility of renal failure by over 800%. It is estimated that NSAID use leads to 75,000 hospitalizations and 7,500 deaths each year in the US and NSAIDs are the number one cause of reported drug interactions each year. Also, Methotrexate, which is typically used for rheumatoid arthritis, is even more toxic and has been linked with increased cancer risk.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION FOR MAXIMUM BENEFIT
You can begin to get relief from arthritis pain from the first application. To avoid further pain, the recommended application is three times daily to specific painful areas. To achieve maximum benefit, you should use 1 jar of GS Cream each month, with applications three times a day for the first four months. This will increase the levels of Glucosamine Sulfate in the body to aid in pain avoidance and joint protection. After four months, application can be reduced to half a jar a month unless pain symptoms reappear.
